Covid-19 Update from the Pastor

In keeping with the request of health and government officials, Covenant’s elders and deacons have prayerfully agreed to temporarily suspend Sunday worship services and other corporate gatherings until it is deemed safe to resume normal activities.  This extreme measure is part of a community-wide effort to slow, and eventually halt, the spread of Covid-19.  By taking this action now, we hope to limit the risk to all members of our community, especially those in high-risk categories.

Covenant will continue its mission to worship God and serve others, simply in different ways until health precautions are lifted.  Though closed to the congregation, worship services will be live streamed each Sunday at 10:30am for as long as necessary.  Here is the link along with the bulletin link.  In addition to worshipping in unison via the live stream, we encourage members to frequently reach out to one another via phone, correspondence, and video chat.  The church office plans to remain open during regular business hours.

Most importantly, never doubt that God remains in control of all things and continues to be “our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea … The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress” (Ps. 46:1-2, 7, emphasis added).  The church officers, staff, and shepherding leaders continue to pray for you regularly and remain available for support.  Please feel free to call any of us at any time as we navigate these uncharted waters together.  A family at a distance is still a family!  Let’s love, encourage, and support one another as long as it is called today (Heb. 3:13).
