After much prayer, fasting and planning, the moment of truth finally arrived for Esther to reveal her true identity and beg the king for mercy. She could only hope that he would show her favor based on her pleasing conduct and demeanor. But behind it all was the great King who would rescue His Covenant people not based on their flawed obedience but the perfect obedience of His Son.
