Music Ministry

At Covenant we seek to worship God through music that is thoughtfully selected, excellently offered, sincerely believed, and thoroughly Christ-centered.

It is no coincidence that the book of Revelation depicts the hosts of heaven joining their voices in the sung praise of God.  Music unites the breadth of God's people, focusing us on His Holy Person.  It engages both the heart and the mind, utilizing a variety of gifts and blending them together in perfect harmony.  It is an act of fervent joy, reverent worship, deep conviction, and profound encouragement.

At Covenant we seek to worship God through music that is thoughtfully selected, excellently offered, sincerely believed, and thoroughly Christ-centered.  We enjoy utilizing a variety of instruments within our traditional framework of hymnody including organ, piano, brass, strings, woodwind, and occasionally hand bells.  An instrumental ensemble enhances worship on periodic Sundays and we regularly enjoy special solo vocal/instrumental offerings as well as the leadership of our adult choir.

In addition to our worship of God on Sunday mornings, seasonal services throughout the year offer added opportunities for special music.  Thanksgiving, Christmas, Lent, and Easter are highlights of our musical year, as are occasions when we host special concerts and choirs.

If you would like to learn more about how you may become involved with the music ministry at Covenant please contact our Music Director, Helen Ro.  Our program includes musical beginners and youth all the way up to those who are professionally trained - there is certainly a place for you!  All ages and skill levels are encouraged to speak with Mrs. Ro as your current state of expertise is not as important as possessing a heart that desires to grow in the worship and service of our mighty God.

"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, singing:

'To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!'

The four living creatures said, 'Amen,' and the elders fell down and worshipped."  (Rev. 5:13,14)
