Paul's Parental Concern

Series: Galatians

Rev. John RohrmanMay 26, 2024Passage: Galatians 4:8-20

In this week’s passage, Paul confronts the Galatians very seriously and sternly, because they are becoming enslaved to a false gospel and deceived by false teachers. But he also addresses them as his beloved children in the faith, for whom he labored during a time of his own suffering, and whose straying from the gospel is causing him great personal anguish. The way Paul expresses his parental concern for the Galatians is an encouraging reminder that when our heavenly Father disciplines us, it is because of what he suffered, in his Son, to bring us to faith, and because our wandering from that faith brings him sorrow. May we respond humbly and quickly to his loving correction!
